Where to stay in Lund?
If you are flying in to Southern Sweden, then there are two airport to choose from, Malmö Sturup Airport or Copenhagen airport.
If you fly in to Malmö Sturup you can take a bus (Bussbogdan) to Lund C. From there, you can take a bus/taxi/tram to your hotel.
If you fly in to Copenhagen, you can take the Öresundståg (train) over the Öresund bridge to Lund C. You can buy the ticket here online or at the airport just before you go down the stairs to the train. You can also buy tickets in advance from a travel agent. Obs. You cannot buy the train ticket on the train!
In regards to hotels, you are free to look and select a hotel which fits you. In Lund, there are several nice hotels to choose from, but here are some we can recommend in different price classes. Our venue is in Medicon Village, Lund (See google maps below for locations).
1) Grandhotel in Lund. https://www.grandilund.se/ (about 200 EUR per night)
This is an old hotel in the old part of Lund and is considered more exclusive. It is very close to the train station (walking distance). Very good breakfast. Expensive.
2) Elite Ideon Hotel Boka Elite Hotel Ideon i Lund: Gym, Bastu & Frukost | Elite.se (90-100 EUR per night)
Newer hotel with conference center. It is also close to Lund University school of engineering, but it is further away from the center of Lund. This hotel is within walking distance from our meeting venue. Easy to get to by taking the tram or a taxi.
3) MotelL Ligula | Hotels & Restaurants in Sweden, Denmark & Germany (80 EUR per night)
This is a newer hotel in a newer part of Lund. It is a bit outside of Lund so a Taxi is your best best. Seems nice. Very good Sushi restaurant around the corner in same building.
4) Hotel Lundia Hotel Lundia | Affärshotell i Lund (150 EUR per night)
Very close to the train station. Downtown, not far away from the Grandhotel.
